How To Help

By donating to Save Zanskar you will be directly contributing to the education of the children of Zanskar. This region of Ladakh is traditionally a poor farming community, and in order for the children to receive a proper modern eduction, they are required to travel to other areas of India. Given the financial situation most families face, many children simply miss out of this opportunity.

At the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the founder of Save Zanskar—Geshe Lobsang Yonten—has taken on the responsibility of looking after the needs of these children. Food, clothing, accommodation, and education currently costs 24,000 Rs per child, per year.

There are currently twenty-two children being cared for by Save Zanskar.

What your donation will achieve
